Products Description
High Strength SMA400BW Hot Rolled Corten Steel Plate is a weathering steel alloyed with copper (approximately 0.25%), chromium (approximately 0.5%), and nickel (approximately 0.3%).
The phosphorus content of this material is typically controlled between 0.04% and 0.10%, significantly enhancing atmospheric corrosion resistance while forming a stable, dense protective rust layer on the surface.
Its tensile strength typically ranges from 400 to 550 MPa, with a yield strength not less than 245 MPa and an elongation of approximately 21%.
Owing to these properties, High Strength SMA400BW Weathering Steel Plate is particularly suitable for flue gas emission systems, capable of withstanding corrosive environments containing sulfides and nitrogen oxides.
It is also frequently used in aesthetic architectural cladding and landscape structures due to the color transformation of its surface rust layer.
