High Strength Low Alloy SMA400CW Weathering Steel Sheet complies with JIS G3114 standards, featuring a typical yield strength ≥275 MPa, tensile strength ≥400 MPa, and elongation ≥21%. It contains weathering elements such as copper (0.25–0.40%) and chromium (0.40–0.65%) and other weathering elements.
It forms a dense, stable protective rust layer in atmospheric environments, reducing corrosion rates to 1/4–1/6 that of ordinary carbon steel.
Leveraging these properties, SMA400CW weathering steel finds extensive application in air preheaters, economizers, railway vehicles, container manufacturing, bridge construction, and architectural engineering.
It delivers over 20 years of service life in outdoor environments, significantly reducing maintenance and coating costs.
