Products Description
JIS-SMA400AW Weather Resistant Steel Plate is a weathering steel alloyed with copper (≈0.25%), chromium (≈0.50%), and nickel (≈0.30%). Phosphorus (≈0.07%) is also added to this material, enabling the formation of a dense, stable rust layer under atmospheric corrosion conditions, thereby significantly enhancing corrosion resistance.
It exhibits a typical yield strength of 245 MPa, tensile strength ranging from 400 to 550 MPa, and elongation ≥21%. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance and decorative properties, this steel grade is particularly suitable for flue systems (offering a service life 2–3 times longer than ordinary carbon steel) and architectural cladding panels, maintaining a stable rusted appearance without the need for coating.
