Product Description
Laser-Cut Corten Steel Sheet is a brand of steel that gradually oxidises over time to create its own protective film/coating instead of corroding or rusting.
Corten starts life with a blackish finish, similar in appearance to hot rolled mild steel. After being exposed to the elements it starts to change colour, first turning a streaky yellow then orange then finally a dark brown colour forms. The colour change will depend on the environment that it is subjected to.
It's often used for its decorative finish and frequently used for outdoor projects and architecture as the oxidation gives a unique rust-colour appearance. Corten is available to order, or you can free issue the material.
