Products Description
S355J0WP is a structural weathering steel, also known as atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel (equivalent to Corten A grade). Its primary alloying elements are chromium, nickel, and copper, with added phosphorus, imparting exceptional self-protective properties to the steel.
When exposed to the atmosphere over time, the steel surface gradually forms a stable protective rust layer that effectively resists corrosion from wind and rain, marine salt spray, acid rain, and industrial pollutants. Its corrosion resistance is 2–8 times that of ordinary carbon steel.
In terms of mechanical properties, S355J0WP atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel plate demonstrates outstanding performance: yield strength is ≤355 MPa for thickness ≤16 mm, 345 MPa for 16–40 mm thickness, and 335 MPa for 40–63 mm thickness.
Tensile strength ranges from 470–630 MPa with elongation ≥20%. Impact energy in 0°C impact tests reaches ≥31 J, enabling it to withstand high loads and impacts.
With its weather resistance, strength, and natural rust-brown surface effect, S355J0WP weathering steel plate is widely used in steel bridges, chimney exhaust systems, steel sculpture structures, and other outdoor steel constructions.
It ensures long-term structural safety while reducing maintenance costs, presenting a unique natural, rustic aesthetic that provides a durable and economical solution for engineering projects.
