Q460NH steel exhibits the comprehensive properties of high-quality steel, including excellent toughness (impact absorption energy ≥34 J at -20°C), plastic tensile strength (tensile strength 570–720 MPa, yield strength ≥460 MPa, elongation approx. 19%), excellent formability and weldability (carbon equivalent ≤0.45, suitable for conventional welding processes), high wear resistance and heat resistance (can be used long-term at around 400°C without significant strength reduction), and good fatigue properties (fatigue strength limit approx. 50%–60% of tensile strength).
These properties make it widely applicable in structures demanding high strength and weather resistance, such as bridges, vehicles, towers, and containers.
