Overview
The S355J0W Corten Steel Plate, also known as S355J0W Weathering Steel Plate, is a high-strength structural steel under the EN 10025-5 standard. It is equivalent to Corten B and is specifically engineered to resist atmospheric corrosion.
When exposed to natural weather conditions, the steel develops a dense, protective oxide layer (patina) that slows further oxidation and eliminates the need for painting or external coatings.
Compared with S355J0WP, which is often used in thinner sections, S355J0W Atmospheric Corrosion Resistant Steel is widely used in medium-to-thick plate structures requiring superior durability in outdoor environments.
