Are there any special installation requirements for SPA-H signboards?

SPA-H signboards rely on forming a uniform protective patina for long-term outdoor use, with installation requirements focused on patina formation, structural stability and corrosion prevention of connecting parts-simple but targeted norms to avoid performance and aesthetic degradation, specific requirements as follows:

1. Installation for Uniform Patina Formation

Ensure full air circulation: Avoid close attachment to walls/glass (reserve 5-10mm gap) and closed installation; stagnant air/water will cause uneven rust and local pitting.

Avoid long-term shading: Install in well-ventilated, sun-exposed areas; prolonged shading slows patina formation and leads to inconsistent surface color.

Keep installation surface dry: Do not install in low-lying water accumulation areas; use waterproof gaskets to isolate the signboard from wet substrates (concrete/wood).

2. Structural Fixation & Load-Bearing Requirements

Match fasteners to weathering performance: Use stainless steel (304/316) bolts/nuts/washers; avoid ordinary carbon steel fasteners (they rust faster and cause cross-corrosion with SPA-H).

Control fastener pre-tightening force: Do not over-tighten to prevent local deformation of the signboard; for large/heavy signboards, add reinforcing ribs to disperse wind load and avoid substrate bending.

Reinforce for outdoor harsh loads: For high-wind areas or elevated signboards, increase the number of fixing points and use anti-loosening fasteners (spring washers) to prevent falling off.

3. Corrosion Prevention of Installation Joints & Edges

Seal joint gaps properly: Use neutral silicone sealant (non-acid/alkali) for small gaps; avoid corrosive sealants that damage the steel surface and affect patina formation.

Protect processed edges: Recheck the grinding/passivation of cutting/welding edges before installation; touch up with transparent weathering sealer if the protective layer is damaged.

Isolate dissimilar metal contact: Add non-metallic gaskets (rubber/nylon) between SPA-H and other metals (aluminum/iron) to prevent galvanic corrosion.

4. On-Site Installation Environment & Operation Norms

Avoid installation in severe weather: Do not construct in rain, snow or high humidity (RH>80%); wet steel surfaces are prone to initial rust and uneven patina.

Prevent on-site surface damage: Avoid scratching the SPA-H surface with hard tools during installation; do not leave oil/grease/stickers (clean with acetone if contaminated).

No on-site welding/grinding as much as possible: If secondary processing is needed, re-grind and passivate the processed area immediately after construction, then apply a thin transparent sealer.

5. Post-Installation Initial Protection

Temporary protection for fresh surfaces: For installation in mild coastal/industrial areas, brush a transparent weathering sealer on the whole signboard (thin layer) to accelerate uniform patina formation.

Clean the surface in time: Remove installation dust/debris with dry cloth; do not use high-pressure water washing (avoids surface water marks).
