1. Seal with a transparent protective coating (most effective)
After the surface forms the color you want (orange‑red, brown, or dark brown):
Apply a matte transparent protective oil, acrylic varnish, or polyurethane clear coat
Isolates air, moisture, and dust to stop further color darkening
Prevents rust streaks and water stains
Reapply every 3–5 years
2. Regular gentle cleaning
Rinse with clean water every 3–6 months to remove dust and dirt
Use a soft cloth or soft brush; do not scrub hard
Do not use strong acid/alkali cleaners

3. Prevent water retention and long‑term dampness
Ensure the sign surface is sloped for good rainwater drainage
Avoid water pooling in grooves or gaps
Keep the surface well‑ventilated
4. Avoid contact with corrosive materials
Do not let cement, lime, soil, or wet wood touch the sign
Use insulating gaskets between the sign and other metals (stainless steel, aluminum)
Keep away from chemical fumes and high‑concentration salt spray
5. Timely minor repair
For small scratches or color unevenness:
Lightly sand → spot‑touch with a small amount of color accelerator → re‑coat with transparent finish
