How to Maintain the Natural Patina of SPA-H Signboards

Regular Surface Cleaning
Wipe the patina surface with a soft dry cloth or rinse with clean water quarterly to remove dust, sand and debris; avoid acidic/alkaline cleaners to prevent patina damage.

Avoid Severe Mechanical Damage
Prevent sharp impacts or friction on the patina layer; if minor scratches occur, leave them to natural weathering for self-repair instead of manual polishing.

No Unnecessary Coating/Painting
Do not apply ordinary paint, epoxy or oil-based coatings, which will cover the patina and cause peeling due to internal steel rusting.

Harsh Environment Auxiliary Protection
In high-salt coastal/heavy industrial areas, spray a thin layer of UV-resistant weathering steel transparent sealer once a year to enhance patina stability.

Drainage & Ventilation Maintenance
Ensure the signboard has good drainage to avoid standing water; keep the back of the signboard ventilated to prevent mildew and uneven patina caused by long-term dampness.

Avoid Long-Term High-Temp/Chemical Exposure
Keep the signboard away from industrial high-temperature flue gas (>200℃) and direct contact with corrosive chemicals (acid/alkali) to prevent patina decomposition or corrosion.
