Products Description
The 09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel plate is characterized in that the alloy composition and weight percentage content of the weathering steel are: C: 0.12 to 0.21, Si: 0.2 to 2.0, Mn: 0.7 to 2.0, S ≤ 0.036, P ≤ 0.034, Cu: 0.10 to 0.40, Al <0.2, the rest are Fe and trace impurities.
Through alloying of Cu, Mn, Si, Al, etc., and simple adjustment of some element content of ordinary low carbon steel (Q235 steel), it can produce good atmospheric corrosion resistance without changing the production process conditions of Q235 steel Economical weathering steel with comprehensive mechanical properties.

09CuPCrNi-A weathering steel plate is mainly used for steel structures used in railways, vehicles, bridges, towers and other long-term exposure to the atmosphere.

Products application
09CuPCrNi-A corten steel plate is a high-strength, low-alloy structural steel with excellent atmospheric corrosion resistance and mechanical performance. By adding small amounts of alloying elements such as copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), and nickel (Ni), the steel develops a dense, stable oxide layer on its surface when exposed to the atmosphere. This layer effectively prevents further corrosion and greatly improves its durability and weather resistance compared with ordinary carbon steel.
Due to these outstanding properties, 09CuPCrNi-A corten steel plate is widely used in the manufacture of containers, railway vehicles, oil derricks, harbor facilities, oil production platforms, and chemical equipment-especially in environments containing hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) corrosion media. It performs reliably in harsh marine and industrial atmospheres, ensuring long service life and safety of critical structures.
In addition, its excellent welding, forming, and cutting properties make it easy to process and fabricate into various components. With its distinctive rust-like appearance, 09CuPCrNi-A steel is also suitable for architectural and landscape applications, where aesthetics and long-term durability are both desired. By eliminating the need for frequent painting or maintenance, this material helps reduce operational costs and promotes sustainable engineering solutions in modern construction and heavy industry.
