E24W4 Steel Description
E24W4 steel grade is a hot rolled products of structural steels in technical delivery conditions with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance.
E24W4 steel is the Equivalent grades as S235J2W ( 1.8961 ) steel in EN 10025 - 5 : 2004 standard and WTSt 37-3 steel in SEW087 standard and also Fe360DK1 steel in UNI standard
E24W4 Steel Delivery State
Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled, Normalized, Quenched, Tempering, Thermal Mechanical Control Process (TMCP), Electroslag Remelting Technical, HIC test.
E24W4 Steel Application
Because of its low carbon content and fine-grained structure, E24W4 Steels with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance have excellent weldability.So E24W4 steel is mainly used for manufacturing welded,riveted or bolted structures.
Moreover, E24W4 steel with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance has a wide range of applications: architecture, smokestacks, fabrication,freight wagons, silos, pylons and bridges.

For long products the P and S content can be 0.005% higher
The E24W4 steels may show a Ni content of max. 0,65 %
The E24W4 steels shall contain at least one of the following elements: Al total ≥ 0,020 %, Nb: 0,015 - 0,060 %, V: 0,02 - 0,12 %, Ti: 0,02 - 0,10 %. If these elements are used in combination, at least one of them shall be present with the minimum content indicated

The tensile test values given in the table apply to longitudinal samples; in case of strip and sheet steel of widths of ≥600 mm they apply to transverse samples.
If E24W4 mechanical properties have been significantly modified by heavy coldforming, either stress relief annealing or normalised may be applied. Normalised should also be applied following hotforming outside of the temperature range of 750 - 1.050 °C and after overheating.
