S355J2G2W atmospheric corrosion resistant steel plate complies with EN 10155 standards and is classified as atmospheric corrosion-resistant steel. It is commonly used in structural engineering projects requiring resistance to atmospheric and marine environmental corrosion.

Compared to ordinary structural steel, it not only forms a stable protective rust layer in natural environments to extend service life but also demonstrates outstanding mechanical properties.

This steel plate achieves a yield strength exceeding 355 MPa (for thickness ≤16 mm), with tensile strength ranging from 470–630 MPa and elongation maintained above 20%.

It demonstrates excellent low-temperature toughness, exhibiting impact energy ≥27 J at -20°C. These properties make it particularly suitable for constructing storage tanks capable of withstanding low-temperature seawater environments.

As a structural steel grade, S355J2G2W not only offers good weldability but also meets the requirements for riveting, bolting, and welded structural construction.

In engineering applications, it is typically supplied in thicknesses of 6–100 mm and widths of 1500–3000 mm, with a density of approximately 7.85 g/cm³. Its outstanding weather resistance extends atmospheric service life to 4–8 times that of ordinary carbon steel, significantly reducing maintenance costs.
