This material is engineered with a precise chemical composition-containing approximately 0.06–0.12% Carbon, 0.25–0.75% Silicon, 0.50–1.25% Manganese, 0.30–1.25% Chromium, and 0.25–0.55% Copper-which enhances its resistance to acidic and sulfurous corrosion.
Mechanically, ND steel demonstrates outstanding strength and toughness, with a minimum tensile strength of 450 MPa, yield strength of 315 MPa, and elongation exceeding 22%, ensuring durability and structural reliability even under severe service conditions.

Additionally, its impact toughness of over 34 J/cm² guarantees excellent performance in low-temperature or high-stress environments.
Owing to its balance of strength, corrosion resistance, and formability, ND (09CrCuSb) Corten steel pipes are widely applied in power plants, chemical and petrochemical systems, heat exchangers, and flue gas desulfurization equipment, where long-term resistance to acidic and sulfur-bearing gases is critical.
