Our company has successfully advanced a high-end corten steel facade fabrication project in cooperation with a client from the United Arab Emirates.

The first batch of products has completed production, quality inspection, packaging, and container loading, and has officially entered the delivery stage.
This project is designed for a commercial complex façade application. The client provided a unified design drawing, which has been divided into 12 different-sized specifications of corten steel panels based on architectural structure requirements.
All panels share the same graphic design, with only proportional adjustments applied according to different dimensions.

Manufacturing Process Overview of corten steel facade panels
The core fabrication process of this project mainly includes two stages: steel panel cutting and pattern engraving.
First, according to the confirmed dimensional specifications, we use CNC equipment to cut the corten steel sheets into 12 different panel sizes.

Each panel is precisely processed based on the approved drawings to ensure a consistent machining reference for the next stage.
After cutting, the panels enter the engraving process.
The project features a unified English decorative pattern. Our engineering team imports the design into the CNC engraving system and automatically adjusts scaling parameters for different panel sizes.
This ensures that the graphic structure remains unchanged while maintaining a balanced and visually consistent appearance across all dimensions.
The engraving process is completed using high-precision CNC equipment. Through layered toolpath control, the English lettering is engraved clearly and continuously on the corten steel surface, ensuring a clean, burr-free finish and strong visual consistency from both near and far viewing distances.
Quality Inspection Results of Corten Steel Facade
Our quality control team conducted strict inspections focusing on dimensional accuracy and engraving quality. The current results remain stable and fully compliant with export standards:
| Inspection Item | Standard Requirement | Actual Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Cutting Tolerance | ≤ ±0.5mm | Avg. ±0.23mm |
| Engraving Clarity | Complete letter outlines | Fully compliant |
| Surface Quality | No visible burrs | Meets export standard |

After final inspection and protective packaging, the first shipment has been successfully loaded into containers and dispatched to the United Arab Emirates. The remaining batches are currently in continuous production according to the 12 size specifications.
During the confirmation process, the client expressed satisfaction with the engraving clarity and the proportional consistency across different panel sizes, and confirmed the continuation of subsequent batch production.
This project further demonstrates our engineering capability in corten steel façade cutting and English pattern engraving, and provides valuable experience for future customized architectural façade projects in the Middle East market.

Is Corten cladding expensive?
Although corten steel may seem more expensive at first, it is a smart choice in the long term as it lasts longer and requires little maintenance. The price difference between traditional steel and corten steel is minimal. Corten steel is more expensive due to the materials used and the specialized production process.
How long will corten steel last outside?
Generally, Corten steel will patina or rust within six months of atmospheric exposure. Most weathering steel types need wet/dry weather cycles to develop and oxidize. With the protective rust that provides corrosion resistance, Corten steel can last upwards of a few decades to over 100 years.
What does corten steel look like before it rusts?
While many select corten, or weathering steel, because of its practical benefits, others select the steel for the appearance of its rusty, orange-brown patina. However, weathering steel is silver in its original state – just like standard steel. The patina develops over time when exposed to weather
How thick is a Corten panel?
The Corten is available in thicknesses from 22 gauge up to ½" thick in a variety of lengths and widths, which makes it compatible with any type of project
