Products Description
S355J0WP is a structural weathering steel which is also referred to as atmospheric corrosion resistant steel. The main alloying elements are chromium nickel and copper with added phosphorous which gives it excellent self protecting qualities.

As the steel reacts with elements in the atmosphere, the material forms a layer of rust over time which in essence protects the steel from corrosion.

The tensile strength values listed in the table correspond to longitudinal test specimens. For strip or sheet steel with widths ≥600 mm, these values are applicable to transverse test specimens.
If the mechanical properties of S355J0WP have been notably altered due to heavy cold working, either stress-relief annealing or normalization can be performed to restore desired characteristics. Normalization should also be carried out after hot forming performed outside the temperature range of 750–1050°C, or in cases where the steel has been overheated.
